February First

With unsettled peace and continued cultural uncertainty, our club is picking up with a new and improved team. This club is restarting, originating in May 2020 we lacked support, we created a website, began to post, interviewed several people, attempted to create a podcast, wrote many blogs, but eventually the club began to die flat. We have gathered an improved team of talented individuals who will contribute their voice and perspective through activist articles, social media, and volunteering. We believe that this month is extremely important and will mark the return of CFD. African American history is a topic of profound importance. It received a sudden up burst in recognition during quarantine, however, it has been prevalent for much longer. The past years of 2020 and 2021 have been progressive years in a world of equality. Following the death of George Floyd, people around the world joined together to fight racism. Protests and riots were prevalent across many countries. Just one year ago, the capital was breached. It is not enough to not be racist: you must be anti-racist! You must hold others accountable: strangers, friends, relatives, authorities, and politicians. Use your strengths and your advantages to pick up the mantle and spread a good cause. Throughout this month, we will honor several African Americans who have made a progressive impact to form the more just union we have today and the struggles people of color faced to achieve independence.
