How has COVID-19 affected Cultures worldwide?

In effort to create a safer enviroment, limiting the spreading of the longing illness COVID-19, many social restrictions have been enforced. The illness’ impact on social, economical, political and cultural ideas is absurd. Several of these restrictions made, prohibit cultural practices, limiting our freedoms. Striving for the wellness of others, many community cultural practices have been suspended, cultural tourism has been put on hold, and almost 90% of countries around the world have closed or partially closed their World Heritage sites to the public! Covid has affected many third world countries, especially India. Many people in India don't have access to necessary healthcare, and are easily susceptible to Covid. This outbreak has dwindled the capability of Indians celebrating their festivals and meeting with their families. Overall, Covid-19 has been a stumbling block for cultural practices.

However, several cultures have adapted to the health restrictions implemented. “Such accompanying measures include, for example, the development of methodologies and technological solutions for distance and distributed learning with digitally mediated access to cultural resources and experiences.” With the use of technology, many cultural groups stay connected on special holidays. Several cultures have adapted to their environment in order to pursue cultural implementation.
